Raqs sharqi at its most refined — controlled, deeply musical and expressive. The heart of the art form.
Buoyant, playful and bold, with confident travelling steps and the bright ring of finger cymbals.
Fast, sharp and glamorous. Big skirt work, high energy and a showgirl's sense of occasion.
From Upper Egypt, danced with the assaya cane — earthy, rhythmic and full of swagger.
Loose shoulders, light bounce and pure joy, carried up the Nile from Egypt's southern border.
The Levantine line dance — stamping, communal and impossible not to join in with.
Gulf style, danced in the flowing thobe al nashal, all sweeping hair and intricate hands.
Every performance is shaped around the room, the audience and the occasion. Tell Lizzie what you need.
